What is Black Lung Disease?

Black lung is a disease that is caused by prolonged exposure to coal dust. This leads to scarring of the lungs, which inhibits their ability to exchange oxygen with carbon dioxide. It is also referred to as Coal Workers Pneumoconiosis.
