GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

As the name suggests, GE's Profile series targets the consumer who wants to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into their kitchen. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is a premium, I expect better.

Aside from that blip the fridge is a fantastic choice. It has a large freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth french door fridge in kitchen door fridges. It also holds plenty of frozen food items compared to other models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment has 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is roughly on what you would expect from a French door fridge costing this much. The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a all the features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range, including Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also has a lot of customization options. It will also send notifications when the door is left unlocked and when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted, and when the filter has to be changed.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill it's an option in a few other GE fridges that allows you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to pour out simultaneously. It also has a countdown on the fridge display to show how much water you have left, but it's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It is designed to look as a seamless element of your kitchen Bosch's French-door refrigerator looks seamless and is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a veggie compartment which keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer and two compressors for preserving food items. The Ice maker is among the top we've tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of ice that is low in water consumption. This refrigerator is a great option for a single family or kitchenettes that want an integrated look and top of the line food preservation.

While the fridge is a fantastic appliance but it's important to be aware of the limitations. It has a limited shelf space, which means you'll have to think creatively when storing tall items. The shelves are not impervious to spills and could easily be damaged or stained by sharp items. The trays are easily removed from the fridge. However, they must be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't improve the efficiency of the fridge. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill food in this refrigerator than other refrigerators we test. This could be due to its greater capacity.

Another issue with the doors of this refrigerator. They have sunken handles on the front that allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they're difficult for taller people to steer closed without slamming the doors. It would have been much better if they came with a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to combine the look and feel of a french door fridge freezer integrated-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model, and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it a desirable option.

This is a great performance however it doesn't be among the top in our ratings.
