What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The upgrader for items adds a new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. This Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gameplay benefit aside from making it easier to see and purchase upgrades.

Costs

These modifications are based on the item's ilvl, and may require special materials, for instance the adamantine.

Success Rate

The process of upgrading an item is based on the chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it won't work. There are a few ways to increase the chances of success. This includes using an item dubbed an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional items to the upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity can be purchased from the NPC for crafting in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of the upgrade being successful by a percentage. This is similar to the luck bonus that certain items offer but is more reliable. It can be added to any armor or weapon and is able to be used up to three times.

You can also add other materials to the upgrade to increase the chances of success. These are shown in a separate window, above the + button. However, there are some limitations to this, and the largest amount of material that can be added is displayed just above the + button in the UI.

Another way to increase the chance of an upgrade succeeding is by using an item known as a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item can be helpful when your piece of equipment or weapon is close to or has reached the maximum level of its level. This item allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful, it will be reverted to its initial state. This is typically an error, but it can also be an upgrade. It is an excellent idea to save an upgrade for when you're near the highest level of an Best item upgrader (check out this one from Aiwins), and use it as a last resort.

There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to increase the odds of an upgrade succeeding. You can boost your chances of success by enhancing your equipment repeatedly using HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. Failure Rate

Normal Upgrade is a standard upgrade that can be applied to weapons, armor and bikes. It uses different core grades depending on the kind of item upgrader kit. In general, lower-grade items require lower-cost cores whereas higher grade items require more expensive ones.

To carry out a normal upgrade it is necessary to first have the appropriate number of cores. Click the button next to the item you'd like to upgrade once you have the cores. The upgrade window will show a percentage indicator of your odds of success. The percentage is based on the level of upgrade and the core nature of the item you've selected.

You can also select the option of a security feature for your item which will safeguard your item in the event of failure. This protection isn't free however the cost will be lower than purchasing a new item. The safeguard can be used only once per upgrade, and it is not a valid expiry date unless it is used again.

The interface for the item upgrader could be a bit confusing, but it is not difficult to navigate. The main menu is located on the left and the upgrade window is displayed on the right.
