Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet format of the previous albums. It was a stronger, more constant effort with an edge that was stronger than Hydra. The more edgy sound of the album was a reflection of the maturation of the group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency on the drums, as well as an improved, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams.
